A few months ago I thought that photoshop (and the rest of that incredible suite) would be the last bastion of desktop software. I was wrong.
Aviary provides online applications that can do things I thought would take another year to see in an online app. It allows work with layers. Online. For free.
It lets you manipulate graphics and create graphical content that was previously the domain of beefy desktop applications like Photoshop, Illustrator, The Gimp, and few others. It also has an audio manipulation tool.
Web applications continue to move to "The Cloud" faster than predicted. App-creation platforms have proliferated like rabbits, and the pace looks to continue unabated.
If photo manipulation can look this good with no download necessary, who's going to pay the money for the Adobe Suite?
